PRINCETON CONSERVATION COMMISSION
MINUTES FOR MEETING
May 15, 2012
PRESENT:
Holly Palmgren, Ron Thompson, Tom Lynch, David Caporello and John Vieira from the PCC were in attendance.
MEETING:
John Vieira called the meeting to order at 7:09 pm.
The minutes for the April 17, 2012 meeting were read and accepted with minor changes.
NEW BUSINESS:
- A Request for Determination was filed by Jim Camp for property located on Merriam Road (corner of East Princeton Road) for traditional agricultural uses. A site visit was conducted on May 14, 2012 with Holly Palmgren and John Viera from PCC as well as John Camp. Mr. Camp wants to have a commercial garden and farm stand as well as grazing farm animals part time. Mr. Camp had soil testing done, and has spoke with DCR. PCC advised the applicant to get the wetlands flagged and an agriculture plan in place. The applicant requested to continue the meeting to the June 19, 2012 meeting.
- Caroline Lyons attended the PCC meeting regarding the Request for a Certificate of Compliance for 90 East Princeton Road, Princeton. The disturbed area has been spread with wood chips and grass is growing on lawn area. PCC will do a site visit/meeting on May 21, 2012 to issue the Certificate of Compliance.
- A Request for an Amendment to an Order of Conditions was filed by DCR for File # 267-0347. Attending from DCR was Mike Misslin, Ed Sacco, and Bill Mertz from Stantec. A site visit took place on May 14, 2012 with Tom Lynch, Holly Palmgren, and John Viola from PCC and Bill Mertz, Stantec and Rob Lowell and Walter Mulligan from DCR. Plans were submitted in 4 sections, PCC listened to Bill Mertz explain the plans. Park staff will be onsite to monitor after a storm event. DCR’s goal is to finish by June 30, 2012; DCR is working with the contractor and weekly reports to be sent to PCC during construction. An Amended Order of Condition was issued with Special Conditions. (See File)

OLD BUSINESS:
- Erosion Control site visit done by John Vieira. For a Notice of Intent for 13 Oak Circle was filed by Oxbow Associates, Inc. for Darrin Farnsworth for an addition to a single family residence with a replacement septic system.
OTHER BUSINESS:
- Letter dated May 14, 2012 was sent to the Fire Department regarding maintenance of the fire ponds in Princeton.
FOREST CUTTING PLANS
- PCC discussed the Forest Cutting Plan - Jennifer Caswell , Grow Lane, Princeton for 57 acres
